My favorite part of playing games is when the author tries shoving some sappy woe is me bullshit down your throat. Oh wait, that isn't fun at all. Surprise.

I get that this game was made to deal with some personal problems, but frankly I could not give any shits. The graphics and sound were poor, though we all know that's not why people would hate this game. Playing this made me feel uncomfortable, and not in the "Oh this a different thing I can't deal with" way. It's not something I care about or want to hear about, and it's not something you should shove off on strangers.

First review in a long time...

I wanted to like this game, and for the most part I did. While not amazing, the graphics were pleasant enough as was the entire game. Characters were fun to make as well, and some of the powers made nice additions. You can immediately see the good in this game when playing it.

However it was buggy almost to the point of unplayability. The Toad Brothers' vocals loved to pop in at the worst times, and after awhile voices just stopped coming. Was the game only partially voiced or was it the music overshadowing them? The voices themselves were sub-par, getting very scratchy and even similar at some times.

Most glitches would cause the game to just stop, like llamas being separated during the llama fights. They wouldn't join back up and the game needed to be refreshed. And, while some bosses were far to easy, others were broken to the point of being unbeatable. There wasn't any comfortable middleman in the boss area.

But, if you can get past the kinks, it's a very pleasant game.

One of the best games I've played in awhile.

Ok yeah it's text based, but don't hit back or you could be missing something pretty great. The voice acting was great, the music matched perfectly and set a great mood, but I've got to say the storylines and immersiveness was the best part.

There are just so many ways the thing can play out, which is the great part about a text-based game. I only had one quarrel, and that was 'Do I really have to save my wife?' Hey, I was good n' ready to leave her to be eaten but I had to go anyways, whats with that choice?

But, this is a great game; if you even find zombies remotely intresting play. Also it's narrated, so you don't have to do all that annoying reading.

Go out and see some real ones...

This game is almost completely useless. It isn't entertaining in any sense of the word until you start mashing buttons as fast as you can to see how much you can lag up your computer. Even that "fun" only last for a few seconds. Just go out and see some real fireworks, they're much more fun, and you might get a chance to breath fresh air for once....

Enjoyable but annoying.

Hey, the game has some problems annd it's pretty hard, but it can be fun. I enjoyed the game overall; the graphics were nice, the robot-knight guy was awsome, and the gameplay was pretty good. There were a couple things I didn't like though... maybe it was just me but the controls tended to get a bit jerky, and the fact you couldn't move or even turn while blocking annoyed me a bit. The other thing was that it was just a boss fight (albeit a very good one) nothing to really work up to, just kind of "Oh here's a boss. Fight him would 'ya?" Other than that it was pretty good.

While I personally sucked at this game I still liked it, and it gave the Pink Knight some well earned time in the spotlight.

Not the best or most original.

This is just another edition in a long line of sperm games that came before it. Personally, I didn't like it too much at all. The first level (if you can really call it that) was terrible. Just hold space and rush in; minimal losses. The boss battle on the other hand provided a nice challenge. The rest of the game was sub par. The graphics were ok, but there wasn't really anything (besides the boss) that would've made a difference with good or bad.

All in all the only reason I really played this was for the medals, other people may like it (and that's fine) but I do not.

FetusFulp responds:

holding space doesn't do anything :P but i know what you mean. you're one of the minority of people who think the first level is too easy. i guess others make it hard on themselves or something because i find it really easy, myself.

Actually Enjoyable

Well, at first this seemed like the kinda of game you'd only play for medals. When I actually played it I realized it was better than I had expected. The gameplay's amusing, graphics are pretty good, and the overall thing was nicely done.

In no way at all was this a flawless game though. There were so many glitches it began to get just downright frustrating to play. Health usually wouldn't work, the 'fags' and health would pop up out of reach, and enemies could take down anywhere from about a tenth to almost all of your health in a single hit.

All in all the game is still fun enough, but try to be patient.

I can't think of a header, wait have I used that?

Well, it wasn't exactly the best game. The animation, sounds, and gameplay were all sub-par. But unlike most games of this er... quality this was actually kind of fun to play. And iit seems that you've actually put some work into the game as well, and with the promise of a better version I'll give you a....score.....

Kwing responds:

I made a second version with medals which is also pretty sucky, but I'm in a huge collab where I'll have loads of minigames a lot like this. Glad you enjoyed the gameplay at least. This game was made early in my knowledge-based Flash evolution, and as it turns out, I'm a programmer kind of guy. When I make games in the future, I'll have someone else do the graphics. Thanks for your review!

Terrible Game

Really I'm not going to waste your time saying "it to hard". But I am going to tell people reading the reviews not to even touch this game.

It's pretty much a long drawn out arena fight, and done right something like that can be terrific! This wasn't done right. The combos were way too long, hard to memorize or pull of, and pretty much did nothing a normal attack couldn't.

The gameplay was terrible repetitive and annoying. Hey look a demon. Wow. two just spawned behind me. Surprise? Also, you could be rockin 'n rollin full health beating them all down just to have a pawn appear behind you and suddenly knock down half your health in one blow. That was a real surprise at least.

This part was probably my own short-sighted idiocy bet the layout was horrible. It was just to annoying and time-consuming to level the ablities. The graphics got on my nerves,(but for the record they didn't really influence the rating on how the actually looked), in game and in those pseudo cut-scenes. And nomatter what graphic setting I put it on it stay pretty pixilated and crummy. (That influenced the rating).

Really go ahead play, you might like it! But I didn't at all.

Nice change

I was never really a big fan of the Thing-Thing series, but this one's a bit different. First off, the medals were a great add on and have given me a terrific way to waste my life! One problem though, how are you supposed to get this "Artifact 19"? The graphics (while pretty much the same) are ok. The battle areas were one thing that could be improved though. They were just 3 actual sets and nine retextures of said sets. Other than that, there wasn't really a problem....so pretty sweet game 8/10

A certain elegance must be maintained in all things; apperances kept up. Smile through gritted teeth as the world whips you with barbed wire. Nothing can be more important than civility. Be polite, kind, courteous; even when swinging that fire poker.
